How to Remove Grease Stains from Clothes
Grease stains can be very difficult to remove as not only do they have very thick consistency, they are also very conspicuous owing to their dark colour. How difficult the stain is would depend on what material it has stained and how long the stain has been sitting without any treatment.
Step 1: Scrape off as much of the grease as possible with a spoon, but do not press the stain too hard lest it settles in. Then blot it with a tissue, using a lifting motion. Do this until no more of the stain comes off on to the tissue.
Step 2: Once you get home, use one dose of Vanish Oxi Action Gel in 4 liters of warm water and soak the cloth in it. Those who know how to remove stains from clothes know that there is an optimum period for soaking. If it is a coloured article that is stained it should not be soaked for more than an hour lest the colour starts to fade. If the stained article is white, it should be soaked up to six hours. After this wash as usual.
Alternatively: If you are able to treat grease stains while they are still fresh, it increases your chances of getting them out. In this case blot the stain and apply Vanish Liquid Stain Remover directly on to the stain. Let it stand for five minutes and then wash normally, adding a dose of the stain remover in the water as an extra measure.
